The Barangay Abejao is one of the 41 barangays of the municipality of Salcedo. It is a rural, agricultural land, and is one of the barangays situated at the north side along the coast of Matarinao Bay. On the other hand, majority of the barangay’s of Salcedo are at the south side facing the Leyte Gulf.
It is bounded on the north by Matarinao Bay; south by Barangay Seguinon; east, by Barangay Iberan; and west, by Matarinao bay. Barangay Abejao is composed of three sitio- Sitio Alang-alang, Hambayan and Barokan. Sitio barokan is said to be uninhabited.
It is located 9 kilometers from Salcedo town and with an estimated 1 ½ hours travel by jeepney from the town proper to the national highway and barangay road.
