Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plan: Barangay Camanga

Barangay Camanga is located in western part of Salcedo, Eastern Samar. It is bounded on the North by Barangay Naparaan, on the South by Sea Water, on the East by Barangay Carapdapan and on the West by Barangay Cantomoja. It takes 30 minutes in going to this barangay from Salcedo. It is accessible by motorcycle and jeepney. The barangay is divided into four Puroks: Puroks 1, 2, 3, and 4

The barangay has a total land area of 170 square kilometers. It is categorized into agricultural including alienable and disposable land, and residential land. The terrain characteristic is hilly and some part is coastal plain.The type of soil in this barangay are sandy which is 40%, clay or “Banika” 30% and rocky 30%.
