The 11.5 million Salcedo Quarantine and Isolation Facility will be partially open for use by the end of August 2020, according to MHO, Dra. Campo.

The facility, located at Brgy. Naparaan beside the evacuation center, will serve primarily as an isolation facility for PUMs, suspects, and mild confirmed suspects of COVID-19.

The construction started during the first week of July this year and 20 rooms of the facility will already be available once it is opened for use after two months of construction progress.

The facility has a design of 40 rooms, all equipped with its own toilet, and will host a clinic, a mess hall, a kitchen, and a laundry area.

The facility will be used as a dormitory or hostel for LGU visitors and trainees at the Demo Farm and as an alternative evacuation center once the COVID pandemic is over.

The budget for the project was of only 4.5 million out of the 11.5 million budget for the project is currently financed, with 2.5 million taken from the Bayanihan Grant and 2 million from the Ursula Rehabilitation Fund. The LGU plans to outsource the remaining financing from partner NGOs and Government Agencies.
