The Province of Eastern Samar marks its 59th Founding Anniversary on November 9, 2024! In celebration, municipalities from the northern and southern clusters have showcased their unique tourism sites, aiming to promote and boost tourism throughout the province.
Representing the southern cluster, Salcedo proudly highlighted the stunning Yolanda Beach and the enchanting Locsoon Cave and Lagoon in Barangay Jagnaya. This presentation was led by our dedicated Mayor, Hon. Rochelle G. Mergal, and our tireless Tourism Officer, Sir Nestor N. Mergal. Among the visitors who came to experience these remarkable destinations were tourism officers from all 23 municipalities across Eastern Samar, provincial officers, department heads, and various other provincial and local government officials and employees.
This event, known as the ‘Launching of Sinirangan Tour,’ took place on November 6, 2024, and is part of a seven-day series of festivities commemorating Eastern Samar’s rich history and natural beauty during this special anniversary.
