Theme: “Strengthening Whole Community Approach for Sustained Development”
The Local Government Unit of Salcedo will celebrate a significant milestone as the municipality prepares to mark its 163rd Founding Anniversary with a week-long series of commemorative and community-focused activities from December 1 to 5, 2025.
This year’s celebration will highlight the collective strength, heritage, and continuing progress of Salcedo under the unifying theme, “Strengthening Whole Community Approach for Sustained Development.” The program will emphasize the municipality’s commitment to inclusive development, active community participation, and the preservation of local culture and traditions.
The festivities will open with a Sports Athletic Parade followed by the launch of the Agro-Aqua-Eco Trade Fair, which will showcase the products and livelihood of Salcedo’s farmers and fisherfolk. Various competitions—such as the Karan-on Festival, Laro ng Lahi, and Zumba Dance Competition—will aim to bring residents together in an atmosphere of camaraderie, fitness, and cultural appreciation.
Key community engagements will also take place, including the Serbisyo Caravan, the Heritage Walk to Bukid Koykoyon Heritage Stairs, and a Tree Planting Activity, reaffirming Salcedo’s commitment to environmental stewardship and accessible public service.
Daily activities will feature the continuation of sports tournaments, food bazaars, cultural presentations, and talent showcases, including the Queen Salcedo 2025 Talent Night and Coronation Night with ESSU–Salcedo.
The celebration will culminate on December 5 with a Thanksgiving Mass, a General Public Parade, and a Culmination Program, followed by the Drum and Lyre Competition and the Partner Agencies’ Night, which will honor the valuable contributions of institutions supporting the municipality’s development.
The 163rd Founding Anniversary will serve not only as a tribute to Salcedo’s rich history, but also as a reaffirmation of its commitment to building a stronger, more resilient, and forward-moving community.
