The Municipal Fishery and Aquatic Resources Management Council (MFARMC) convened last July 17, 2020 at the Municipal Social Hall to re-organize its committees and elect its new.
The newly elected officers are as follows:

- Dexter Calvadores
- Press Relations Officers : Pablo Coral

- Sergeant at Arms : Jonas Cabacaba
- Edgardo Padrique
- Mario Oguing
The officers of the MFARMC and its committees will hold office until the year 2022.
The MFARMC primarily functions to prepare and recommend the fisheries and aquatic resources management policies and plans for integration into the Local Development Plan pursuant to Executive Order 240 series of 1995.
The event was organized through the efforts of Sentro para sa Ikauunlad ng Katutubong Agham at Teknolohiya Inc. (SIKAT), an NGO which aims to enhance coastal community resiliency by implementing community-based Coastal Resource Management (CRM) and Disaster Risk Reduction Programs (DRR).
The meeting also included an orientation as to the powers, functions, and responsibilities of the Council and its component committees.
