Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) with the support of the Local Government of Salcedo installed the “Timbangan ng Bayan” today, January 14, 2025, in the Salcedo Public Market. The project aims to provide guarantee for consumers that the products they purchase from the stores has the accurate weight. In addition, another feature of the Timbangan ng Bayan features the Rights and Responsibilities of Consumers in local dialect which aims to increase the awareness of Salcedonhon regarding their rights and responsibilities as consumers. The Local Government of Salcedo in partnership with concerned agencies continues in its efforts in ensuring that Salcedonhon’ consumer rights are protected and implemented.
