The Municipality of Salcedo today jumpstarted Hatud Serbisyo Caravan, a series of barangay assemblies initiated towards information advocacy and extending government services at the barangay level.
The aim of the activity is to bring awareness to the barangay residents about the various services and programs that the municipal LGU is offering and to give them an opportunity to raise questions and concerns which can be addressed outright by the present offices.
“The municipal LGU should not only be present at the población,” said Mayor Melchor Mergal. “We are doing this because we should also be felt at the barangay level and that the communities should know all the services that we are offering.”
The activity is also a contribution of the municipality towards addressing insurgency in the country.
The caravan is a week long activity starting March 22 until March 26 of this year. The schedule of the caravan is as follows:
March 22: Naparaan (am) & Talangdawan (pm)
March 23: Asgad (am) & Burak (pm)
March 24: Palanas (am) & Cagaut (pm)
March 25: Tagbacan (am) & Caridad (pm)
March 26: Maliwaliw
The assemblies will be headed by the Municipal Mayor and will also be attended by the Municipal Heads of Offices together with the Members of the Sanguniang Bayan.
Each office will give a short presentation while the participants will be given the opportunity to raise questions or concerns before the respective offices or departments.
