The Municipality of Salcedo, in collaboration with various stakeholders, warmly welcomed the delegates of the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2025 during a vibrant opening ceremony held at Salcedo Town Plaza, Eastern Samar, on January 15, 2025.
With the theme, “Chronicling the Nation’s Odyssey, Nurturing the Filipino Legacy,” this year’s DSPC aims to foster excellence in campus journalism and cultivate a sense of national pride through the power of storytelling.
The conference, which runs from January 15 to 18, 2025, showcases a variety of individual and group competitions in both English and Filipino. These include categories such as News Writing, Sports Writing, Feature Writing, Column Writing, Editorial Writing, Editorial Cartooning, Copyreading and Headline Writing, Radio Broadcasting, TV Broadcasting, and Collaborative Desktop Publishing.
The LGU of Salcedo, along with its partners, expressed its full support for the event, recognizing the significance of empowering young journalists to be the voice of their generation.
As the DSPC 2025 unfolds, it promises to be an enriching experience for participants and a celebration of journalistic excellence and camaraderie.
